Martin is from Oregon, lived and sold real estate in Montana and has a LOT of friends in the "Montana clique" on 24Hr. Campfire. These people actually threatened me and another B.C. hunter from the P.G. area because we bluntly stated that Martin IS a thief and a poacher, of course, this was typical Yankee big talk as any such shenanigans from any American here would be hardly the sort of thing to enhance his reputation.

Martin sent e-mails to one of the worst offenders and this guy then posted that Mike from P.G. and I would, blah, blah, blah, if we dared to tell Martin, in person, what we thought of him. So, we logged off 24Hr. due to the very offensive comments made by various Yanks about us, B.C., Canada and our RIGHT to control OUR resources.....anybody remember "softwood" and the treaty-breaking Yanks, who now say WE are selfish because we dare to protest against their "right"to hunt HERE!!!!!

So, while the fulminations go on and Martin is lauded as a guy just slightly less saintly than George Washington, largely by the same group of Montanans who are bankers, mortgage brokers and other such expert mountain men, Martin CONTINUES to operate here in B.C. and sells OUR sheep, Grizzlies, Moose and so forth to big, important gun writers and their pals.

Some who have hunted with him include Ron Spomer, John Barsness and some others who make big bux writing about killing OUR game, yet, when was the last article written by a B.C. res. hunter published in their self-aggrandizing magazines? I am bloody tired of this and it has gone on for years, we Canadians are second-class citizens in OUR OWN LAND.

I will be doing an article and hope to have it published in various Canadian media outlets and will be phoning the M.O.E. in Victoria, AGAIN, demanding that Martin get turfed from "his"GO concession, forthwith. If, that doesn't work, well, I spent many years working/living alone in many of the most remote parts of B.C. and I might decide to "blockade" Martin's operation AND let Global TV know that this is happening.

I am not as pessimistic as some with respect to dealing with scum like Martin and the rich Yanks who support this travesty of natural justice in B.C. Very simply, I would FAR rather see the local Indians kill 2-3 Moose per year for their families than see these fatass, loud mouthed, know-it-all foreign poachers kill even one.

Whose province is this, anyway, why do we allow the Martin type here?
