The various posters on 24Hr., who claim Martin as both a friend and as a real mountain man, a farce if I ever saw one, flatly stated that our COs are ...vindictive...toward Martin, the other BC outfitters in the region are out to get him as he is so much more capable/successful than they are and our BC courts/bureaucrats are essentially biased against Americans and corrupt....... So, you see, it's all REALLY our fault! Poor Bryan, what a misunderstood little boy!

When 7STW and I objected to this, we were castigated by the moderator and the site owner as I have been previously for daring to state that WE OWN B.C. and WE will decide whether or not Americans or other foreigners can/cannot hunt here.

The Montanas/Alaskans were allowed to call us various ugly names and even threaten us, so, 7STW and I decided that we had had enough of 24Hr. and decamped. I regret this in a sense as there are a LOT of really fine Yanks there, however, I have had enough crap about Canada and am tired of wasting time explaining FACTUAL history to unlettered wannabe imbeciles who would not last a single night alone in the B.C. bush.

It's really ironic, posters there can make ANY ugly remark about Moslems, French-Canadians, other "Canookians" as they often call us and our military and NOTHING is said by the moderator or owner; yet, if you presume to mention historically documented situations in THEIR country, well, zappo, you are one bad dude....how typically American and truely pathetic.

As far as I am concerned, after the "softwood" debacle and the arrogant Yankee refusal to recognize OUR sovereignity over the Northwest Passage plus the frequent situations with American-owned GO outfits of the same type as Martin, I would prefer to ban them from ANY hunting/fishing here, permanently. Harsh, well, look at what they do to us, their "friends"....
