He set up a link to a page that simulated the look of our forum. The first thing that came up was a "you are not logged in" notice and it prompted you to enter your user name and password. Once he had your info he could log in as you and change all your settings such as email and password and then assume your identity. If he somehow managed to get the passwords off a mod or admin he could actually get in the system and really raise hell.
