15 years old?? In less than a year this lad will have the ability to drive a motor vehicle and be responsible for the lives and safety of many. Don't make excuses for this kid. Unless there is a mental disability that would excuse his actions? By handling it in the fashion that you have you have made an arbitrary decision for all of us, some may agree with it some may not. You are truely NOT doing this young offender any favours by letting it go, you have enabled his behaviour and have taught him nothing. Sometimes doing the right thing is a tough choice to make. His actions took much forethought and deliberate efforts on his part, he knew exactlly what he was doing! Again don't make excuses for the poor (only15) kid. A crime was committed and it appears you have let it go? If you saw a person being assaulted would you look/walk the other way? This too is not a victimless crime, it must be dealt with in an appropriate way. Don't take offence to this opinion as I have strong feelings on this subject and have seen far far to many young people end up in serious trouble because of this very thing (excused behaviour).

That being said, I don't want to hear anyone else threatening on HBC or trying to find him. In my mind it's a done deal. Lets move on and start thinking of the fall to come.
