Impressed with this load
I recently acquired a used Ruger #1 Light Sporter in .270 Win.
I haven't loaded for .270 Win. since about 1987, so my first loads were the old ones that I used with my old Ruger M77
56 gr. IMR 4831
Win brass (new)
WLR primers
I used Remington bulk 130 gr PSPCL bullets
Bullets seated at 2.850" to the ogive.
I took the Ruger and the Tikka T3 that my wife bought me for Valentine's Day this year and tried the loads.
The load was faster over the chrony from the Ruger than the Tikka (2890 fps vs 2820 fps)
Tikka target was 7 shots @ 100 meters. Ruger target was 3 shots @ 100 meters.
