fun times at work

I was run ragged last weekend at work. We had a few grizzly bears that wouldn't stay away. I finally had enough and requested some action from the CO's. They showed up on Monday, and by noon on Tuesday, had tranquillized and transported 4 grizzlies. The scary thing is that we still have more around!

Here's one of the culprits.

This one went, too
I took this picture as it walked past my office about 35 yds away.
I went through about $100.00 worth of bangers, screamers, and rubber slugs last weekend.
Second photo I took yesterday as I was leaving to come home.

OK BCHunter, you asked for it!

This is what it looked like up there in the morning on July 21. Yes, that's fresh snow. Treeline is about 5500', snow was down to about 5000' elevation. All the fresh snow was melted by 2:00 pm.

And another one.
This guy was a yearling when I started work at the mine. I have watched him grow up. He's 11 years old now and an awsome bear. He got darted and moved away when he was 3 years old, his first year on his own.
He was one of my "problem bears" on the weekend as well, so he got another helicopter ride. CO's say he's had his "second strike". One more and he's out! I really hope it doesn't come to that.
This picture was taken last June.
