mechanical help
Hey everyone,
Im in FSJ and between the new job and trying to get the truck looked at is hard so I was wondering if maybe someone else has had this same problem. I have a 2003 ford f150 5.4L ...There is a whineing sound comeing from under the hood on the passengers side from what sounds like below the engine or somewhere down there. Its been like that for a month now, as I accelerate the whineing get louder untill iv reached a steady speed then it just stays the same. I checked the belts, its not the power steering, someone mentioned it could be the water pump?? these newer vehicles are much harder to tell whats going wrong lol.. so if anyone has had the same issue or has some insight to what it may be please let me know... thanks |

Sounds like Fuel pump.
The fuel filters are in line by the frame and often are forgotten for replacement, the filter starts to plug up anf the pump has to work harder to get the feul through - then you hear a whine. Take it in and get it changed as special tools are required. |
