Moveing

well I have a little one on the way now, my lady is about 10 weeks. Now I am currently in Hinton, Alberta and its an oilfield town. I am manager for Halliburton in Hinton and this town is no place to raise a child in. Also this town is dirty and stinky lol. I am originally from Quesnel B.C. and miss it allot. So question is, wheres a nice town, about the size or a little bigger then Quesnel that would be good to move to in your opinion? also I would need a decent job. I am a manager right now and also have my class 1 license.

All ideas are greatly appreciated.

ps. I have been lookign into tumbler ridge alot, anyone been there or have any opinions? I would love to get on at a mine there.

Well, as a class one driver you should be able to pick up a job and make about 40-80k a year depending on your work ethic just about anywhere in B.C.
As for the management possition, I couldn't tell ya, not my bag. Town, hell, pull out a map of B.C. and toss a coin in the air and see what it lands on! It will be better than Hinton I tell ya (I drove truck through there a few times)

Ya got the puddle, FSJ, FN, TR, PG, and thats not even going into the Kutenays or coastal towns like Kitimat, terrace, ect. They ALL have there plusses and negatives. Start traveling and visiting!

We just spent about 5 days in TR, nice little community. Attended the local Grizzly Festival and spent a couple days running the Murry River.
Housing prices have been climbing since the mining took off again, and there is not much available at the moment.
The town is very tourist orientated, with hiking and quading trails all around and through town.
Nice place, I enjoyed the visit, but home for me is Fort Nelson. I have 3 daughters (All under 5yrs old), and I would not want them raised anywhere else. Hunting, Fishing, Quading, Hiking, ect, ect, ect. Good jobs with excellent pay.
Here is a listing of jobs available for Chetwyn, Dawson Cr, FSJ, Ft Nelson, and Tumbler: Check it out.
