Trophy Whitetail

Nah. Not really. Unfortunately this is the biggest Whitetail I've ever seen. I shot it on Stewart Island NZ during a 10 day self guided, self everything hunt with an aussie mate. It was the first whitetail that I saw and the only one that I shot. Had a ball, but boy was it cold, and the sandflies! Saw a total of three deer over 10 days. Magnificant place. My mate also from Queensland only saw 2 deer, didn't get off a shot. But he did have wild Kiwi wandering around him from time to time. I never even saw a Kiwi footprint.
Just a point I should mention (it will make me feel better) according to DOC (sort of like NZ National Parks, we were hunting in a National Park - Permit cost NZ$15) on average only one whitetail is taken for every 10 days hunting? I didn't believe it at first, but I sure do now.

Anyway PLEASE throw a couple of photos on the forum of some Moose, Wapiti/Elk, bear, sheep, goats and of course Trophy whitetail so that I can have a look and get jealous.

Ah yeah, rifle is a Sako 75 30/06, using Remington 180gn factory. Scope Zeiss 1.5to6.

Regards
Rod
