Dragon
Spoke with Cariboo fly and tackle about a week ago. He said about 16 inches on Dragon. Any recent reports? Id hate to find out the ice is off a week after it goes.

Just got back from spending a glorious day working out of our Quesnel office.
(Any day I get out from behind a desk is a great day!!) Dragon is still too thin to ice-fish and too thick for a boat ..................... Unless the weather warms up it will be a week or more before ice-off. On another note the North end of McLeese is ice-free although Sheridan creek is roaring in so hard the lake looks to be muddier than the Fraser River. ![]()

Thats about what I got from Cariboo Fly and Tackle this morning. On the South side of Quesnell theres a highway cam up on a post. Sure would be handy if that was cranked around and aimed at the lake.

Thats easy. When Dragon opens load up and head South. Turn off at Stoner onto the 28 and 31 forest road comes out at Hixon. Take your pick from 15 or 20 of the buggers on the way down then on to Dragon. When the grass greens up on the South side of the hills they're out there like gophers in Sask.

So catch the morning on the lake and head up this way for bear. Im about 45 min. North of the lake. Give me a call if you want and I'll put you on the right road, (about 3/4 mile from the house), or maybe go for a ride along. PM sent

I'll have a look at the rest of the lake when I head out this morning for a bear hunt.
I'll let you know when I get back this evening. Gary isn't going hunting with me, so I probably win't see anything. |

OK, I'm home. Skunked on bears but lots of deer and a few grouse.
Looks to me like Dragon Lake is totally ice free. Enjoy, all you fisher-people out there! |
