4-08c
I know this region VERY well and have a 4-08B bull elk LEH for this year. I was born and raised there and have been in most of the drainages.
Elk hunting here is tough, due to terrain and forest cover, but, they ARE there. Scouting, glassing and persistence will give you a reasonable chance and I would suggest that, if you can, you start now. |

I drove through the slocan valley last weekend and noticed there wasnt many roads into crownland. I also saw many farms too so I suspect thats where alot of the elk will be grazing when it starts to get cold. hey Kutenay, on google earth it shows a power line running parrallel to the valley. Do you know if that may be a good area to try with a quad? I never got a chance to explore Narns creek area or south of Castlegar yet.

Quad?
I have never used or even sat on a quad or trike or any other ATV, so, I honestly do not know.
I would certainly TRY that powerline and see what is up there. |
