Thumbs down Not impressed with Bushnell

I sent them an pooched Elite scope over 2 months ago - they received it on May 27 - and they have not even looked at it yet.

This is the first Elite I have owned that has ever screwed up but after this poor service from their Canadian warranty centre I think I will quit recommending them to other shooters.

Me too

I have had a whack of B&L and Bushnell scopes, almost as many as Leupies. I bent the tube on a B&L Elite 4000 and contacted Bushnell in Ontario; after that experience, I wouldn't buy jackschit from them and consider them to be a bunch of *******s!

Go with Leupie, MUCH better service.

Bushnell will take care of you eventually and most likely send you a new scope of equal quality or better, but they are slow, very slow. Took 6 months for an old beat up B&L 4000 I sent in and got a new side parallax bushnell 4200. They didn't keep me updated on their website and the last time I checked on the progress it said they still hadn't looked at the scope, 2 days later the new one showed up in the mail box, site still said they hadn't looked at it, in fact just checked the site a minute ago and apparently they still haven't looked at it Maybe they'll send me a second one??

Leupold service is about 8 days round trip the last time i sent one in, sticky power ring, it came back fixed and up graded. A used Leupold is better than a new anything else because they are excellant on service.

Bushnell service is waaaaaaaay slow. Leupold turnaround is about 6-10 days.

Simple choice for me...

I've had 2 experiences with them, almost two months the first time and not even two weeks wait the second but both times I got a brand new scope in the mail. Their warranty is rock solid but turnaround time is slow like most offshore manufacturers north american service depts.

Another reason to stick with the big Austrian/German optics. Leupold was good to me the one time I contacted them but I have yet to have to do any work to any of my Swaro products. They just keep working like the day I bought them.
